If the US was really concerned about invading other countries to rescue

the people from despotic, cruel rulers, wouldn't Syria be a prime target
for invasion?

(I know countries always have an official reason for invading another country, or for making war, which is rarely the real reason.)

Choose any of the "stan" countries. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Israel, half of Africa.

But then, who will invade our country for us?
