3. It's the voters. One word from 45 and the Repubs would lose their primaries.

6. He has wrecked the careers and reputations of many non-elected people, so it's not just that.

Like "his generals." Almost to a man, they entered his orbit with good reputations and long careers, and every one of them left besmirched.

4. Best thing I've heard yet: he finds the crack in their character and breaks them.

It's his unique gift: No matter how small that crack is, he finds it. Can't remember who said it, but it sounds right.

I recommend Rick Wilson's "Everything Trump Touches Dies," now out in paperback. A lifelong GOP operative and a never-Trumper, you won't like what he says about Hillary's campaign, but his take on all things Trump is funny, hair-raising, acute, and acidulous.

8. Might have been Bill Maher who said

on his last show that it's incredible how people are willing to debase themselves to get a seat at Trump's table.

11. Trump's like a Jim Jones. He's got the whole cult leader/dictator thing going on to the max.

His followers would probably drink the poison Kool-Aid if he told them to.

12. Money, money, money..

dirty money. I don't think Trump, himself, has a whole lot to do with it.
