I don't know about the rest of you, but I think a President who says "I'm f***ed" is guilty.

I don't care if legally they can't prove "intent" (whatever), our country is worse off for having this criminal in our White House and running our nation. What will the history books say about him?

We've gone from "I cannot tell a lie" about chopping down a cherry tree to the supposed leader of our nation saying "I'm f***ed."

Never thought I'd see the day. Oh, and I highly doubt you'd read something like this about President Obama.

2. Not only is he guilty - he also KNOWS it!

Thanks to Jody Hunt, former Chief of Staff for Jeff Sessions. Mr. Hunt was present when Sessions told Chump he was recusing himself, and a special investigator (Mueller) had been hired. Jody Hunt was questioned by Mueller and gave this testimony, among other stories that are included in the report.

15. You know, that statement he made to Sessions "how could you let this happen"...

is classic narcissistic personality disorder. Nothing is ever his fault. The bad things that happen to him have nothing to do with his behavior. It's Sessions' fault that the investigation happened, not the fact that Trump did anything wrong.

3. Tweety was on MSNBC earlier and he made a good analogy.

He said the cops pull you over for speeding, you realize you have a gun and pot in the glovebox. You know you are guilty of a lot more than speeding so you are terrified. Trump doesn't want anyone in his glovebox because it is full of sh.t.

Financial lies and theft of scope we'll never begin to approximate. The mistake was not understanding that the presidency is actually more friendly to a liar and crook than the business world is. The system simply isn't designed to deal with an atrocity like this, not when he can hire and fire his own checks and balances, and with Mitch McConnell willing to rationalize anything.

17. "What will the history books say about him?" Depends who's writing them.

If Trumpists, backed by a 24-hour state messaging “news” network, and the propaganda-infused Sinclair Broadcasting, and with the deep pockets of billionaires, prevail in 2020 (by hook or by crook), the history books could very well paint Trump as some sort of hero, who “saved the country from deranged leftists,” etc.

It’s our job to make sure that possibility NEVER happens.

That, in and of itself, also speaks to his guilt. Most of the time he's more than happy to get in front of the microphones and cameras to proclaim his innocence.

32. I think no matter WHAT the conclusions of the report, he should be impeached.

He's done numerous things unbecoming of elected officials: He's compromised our security, he's tried an end-run around Congressional oversight with his border wall funding. He overruled experts and demanded security clearances for his kids who use unsecured apps to discuss issues of national security. He's undone decades of safety and conservation measures. He's refused to show his tax returns. He's been a general asshole to prominent people in his rallies and online. He's ignored and undone Russian sanctions that were passed. He unilaterally and unexpectedly tried to ban Muslims from flying to the US and transgender people from serving the military. He wastes millions of dollars flying to his private hotel. He's making or attempting to make money using his political status. He refuses to follow protocol and has private meetings with Putin and Kim that nobody - even officials - is allowed to be privy to on the official record. He has said things that put people in serious danger - IC assets, a WaPo reporter, Ilhan Omar... And he calls our Free Press "the enemy of the people." He's lost hundreds of staffers due to his incompetence and/or crooked dealings. He's vindictive, petty, and does not in any way represent the leader we'd like to present as our figurehead to the rest of the world.

On top of all that, his behavior prompted an entire Special Counsel investigation that lasted two years and convicted numerous people he associated with during the election campaign. No matter what the findings, this is the kind of stuff that gets you fired from a job during your probationary period.

Just that whole fucking GoT "Game Over" tweet is just maddening. President Clinton was impeached and let things take their course. He never issued a press release after the impeachment saying "Ha ha, I'm exonerated, No Blowjob, you lunatic righties!" Our president is an asshole and an embarrassment who has no qualms about wrecking things to suit his whims. He can't even close his own fucking umbrella.

We need to investigate this stuff. Impeachment isn't conviction; Impeachment is drawing aside the flag-printed curtain that President Donald J. "I'm fucked" Trump likes to wrap himself in and scream that it's a bulletproof shield and insist nobody can touch him.

34. What a righteous and spot on rant! And you only covered a small portion of the crap he's pulled.

Most of our government positions haven't even been filled and most of the others are filled with "acting" heads of their departments. We won't know until after the fact just how much cleaning up will have to be done after he's gone. We also don't know what would happen in a national crisis due to the total incompetence of him and most of his cohorts.

Yes, we need to investigate it all. Our founding fathers never envisioned a situation like we're in now, so we have to take this all apart, examine it and make sure we put new laws in place to prevent this ever happening again. Of course it goes without saying that we need to gain back the Senate, and win in 2020.

...as if the law would be followed. So, when he said that, he knew he was guilty & would be prosecuted. Then, when he started seeing that republicans were protecting him, he started attacking/obstructing all over again.

41. No, I disagree. Saying "I'm fucked" is not in itself evidence of guilt.

Trump is, of course, guilty of multiple crimes and manifestly unfit for his office, but even an innocent person framed for a crime might say the same thing. Beside that, this one quote people are focusing upon runs contrary to a thousand quotes from Trump claiming the opposite. In short, it's too weak to mix with the hard evidence that already exists and only serves to dilute the sum in the eyes of his supporters. ("Did you hear the latest? Dems are claiming that because Trump said 'I'm fucked' that means he must be guilty."

It's heartening to hear of this evidence that the worm is privately squirming and suffering the distress that he so richly deserves, but there's no point in characterizing it as further evidence of facts that are hardly in need of further evidence.

42. I disagree.

A. I don't give two whits what Trump supporters are saying about the matter. Nothing gets through to them anyway.

B. Trump is without a doubt a malignant narcissist and sociopath and for a narcissist to say, "I'm f***ed" when told he's going to be investigated is quite different than if a regular person said it. Malignant narcissists truly believe they are smarter than anyone else, so with a mindset like that it takes a bombshell to get through to them that their "cleverness" may not have protected them this time.

C. I never said this one quote is "hard evidence" in a court of law. My post was about how, taken with everything else we know and the personality disorder(s) he has, it's a damning statement.
