To be the first human being to walk on the moon. Doesn't that just blow your mind?

Think of the thousands upon thousands of years humankind has looked up to the moon with wonder, knowing they could never touch it.

And one day, one human being did what billions before him could only dream of---he set foot on the moon.

One final giant step. Godspeed Neil.

Yes, it is still absolutely mindblowing. Of all the people who have ever lived. Heck, of all multicellular life forms which have ever evolved on this planet, the first one to step onto ground other than this planet was Neil Armstrong.

I have never lost my wonder at that.

One wonders if such a feat could be accomplished today. Even now, it still feels like a Buck Rogers-ish fantasy.

Neil Armstrong's Historic First Words On Moon: 'Holy Living Fuck'

- hahahahahahaha, love that article. Pretty much sums up how I feel about the whole thing. It's got to be the single most amazing accomplishment we've ever done as a species.

How many people can look up at the moon and say they've been there? Only a very few. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldin and those on Apollo 13, 14, 15 or however long they lasted.
