I think she believes she is, but is actually hitting menopause. Remember Olenna Tyrell’s concern about her age and childbearing abilities when Tywin was arranging the political match between Cersei and Loras? Nah, I don’t think another little Lanister is on the way, but the political implications that are happening because she thinks she is pregnant are already in play (Tyrion’s conversation with her in the last episode likely has him pondering the imaginary child’s place in royal succession now...)

that she will die at the hand of her younger brother. Tyrion is obviously younger, but so is Jaime (her younger twin). And just as Cersei misdirected her fear of a "younger more beautiful queen" at Margaery instead of Dany, I think she's also off base on which brother will actually harm her.

So my money's on Jaime.

It was the Lancasters and the Yorks in the War of the Roses (which the books' storyline is VERY loosely based on). Henry VII was the first Tudor king, with Lancaster (Lannister) blood but married a York (Stark) so Sansa or Arya would fit there as a wife for Gendry, and he and Arya do have a history. Henry's grandfather started out life as a squire, which would fit Podrick but he doesn't have royal blood like Gendry so I pick him as having humble beginnings and royal blood.

It's been long known that the show is a metaphor for climate change and the showrunners have said it doesn't have a happy ending. I've gone back and forth on who will win the Game of Thrones but what if the "winner" is not Cersei or any other deplorable but the White Walkers winning out? After all, Martin doesn't like the good guys winning and they said no happy ending, so the people of Westeros and the world are doomed. Just like us humans with unstoppable climate change.

My other choice is Gendry, as explained in a post above.

I mean they are all gonna die.
Also don't know how you didn't add Arya, I want it to be her but she's gonna die too.
They're all gonna die.

It could be that Mormont girl, she's the business(possibly Jorah's daughter?).
Robin Arryn in an effort to piss almost everybody off, I can see that but they are ALL going to die.
Bran may be lucky enough to be a tree who knows.

Book vector spoiler...
The character is likely shot from the series but Lady Stoneheart?

Cersei and Jamie and their babe-to-be escape into the unknown, Bran founds a new religion, Arya (and shecand Guindrey might get together) leads the armies with Brienne as her right hand, Theon dies nobly, and Sansa—oh lord, Sansa. I have no idea about Sansa.

Robert's Rebellion started when the Targaryen crown prince had his marriage nullified so he could wed Lyanna Stark. The Targaryens will be restored to power through Tyrion, who was legally married to Sansa earlier in the series.

But wait, isn't Tyrion a Lannister? Probably not. The books hint that his mother Joanna was raped by the Mad King and that he is not Tywin's issue. Also, it is said that the Targaryen dragon has three heads: Dany, Jon, and I'm going with Tyrion as the third. What's more, when he freed the two dragons from their chains, they did not eat him or burn him. Wouldn't they know who a real Targaryen is?

Tyrion and Sansa restoring the Targaryen line would be the perfect bookend to the story.

Anyways, yeah, Theon was a bad dude. Reek, OTOH ... is someone else. Though he's been slowly recalling ...

No, not a faceless man.

I mean that there will be no one to sit on the iron throne because in the end, there will be no iron throne. Danaerys wants to “break the wheel” - the endless cycle of squabbling, power grabbing and killing to attain power by owning the throne. What better way to meet that end than by destroying this symbol of centralized familial royal rule and instilling a new system that peacefully shares that power amongst chosen representatives, like a republic. Albeit one that’s still initially likely helmed by the predominate family houses we’ve seen through the story.

We’ve already seen elements of democratic process at work, like when Jon Snow was elected to head the Watch and called upon to become King of the North. I don’t think it’s too far a stretch of the imagination to see Danaerys eventually wanting to follow a process that would preserve personal autonomy for those who would follow her rule. And the first step to leaving the world a better place than she came into it would be to get rid of that damn throne...

Sun Apr 14, 2019, 07:32 PM
Apr 2019

Somehow he's managed to not die, and he's been very, very clever ... not to mention being one of the 'better people' on the show.

If I had to bet though, I'd have to go with Dannie ... ending up in charge.

Whether or not the Iron Throne survives as a concept is another matter, but I'd bet Danny ends up in power. Given the overall trajectory of the series, for her to NOT end up in charge would seem like a bit of a rip. Course, this series has been pretty damn unpredictable.

2nd guess would be The Night King, where everything ends up going ... poorly.

3rd guess is Jon Snow.

4th guess is Sansa.

5th guess is Lord Varys.

One of the dragons will be pregnant and they will want to protect them by establishing a sanctuary far beyond the wall..... At least that's my dream....
