trump's "Our country is full" reminds me of hitler's "Lebensraum"

Lebensraum -
"The territory that a state or nation believes is needed for its natural development, especially associated with Nazi Germany."

hitler's excuse for conquest was Germany's purported need for "living space".

"Our country is full" is just the other side of the Lebensraum coin for our current fuckhead fuhrer.

Add to that the Lugen Presse and so many other nazi symbols and ideas trump and the gop traitors are using and you have the makings of the fourth reich, IMO.

We'll find out soon whether our supposed rule of law can stop them. It had better be soon. I think 2020 will be too late.

Good point. Lebensraum could be used as more than an excuse for conquest, it could be used as another word for colonialism.

When the long arc of history is considered, there are frightening parallels in play right now - humans once again creating scenarios to excuse their descent into madness.

I like to think of myself as an amateur historian. As such, I'm really worried. We should have taught our children history in reverse. They needed to know what preceded their birth by only a few decades.

We obviously never taught them so they never knew and those that don't know history are, in this case, cursed to repeat it.

That its also a "Stormfront", White Nationalists meme? They sell car window stickers and the like that have the words "Go Home, We're Full" in the shape of the United States. You can probably google one; I have no interest in giving traffic to those sites that peddle in that garbage.
