Adam Schiff's brilliant speech today was -5 minutes and 10 seconds. (give or take a few seconds)

So, this rebuttal is short, easy to understand, and exceptionally well written..But, the truth is :
..Most people have 5 minutes to listen and watch all of this.
(not just part, but all of the speech)

Most important parts will fit on any news show. There is nothing complicated. He uses the term, "It is not OK"
that this was done, and that was done. It is brilliant because it was short, simple and everyone understands what was said. If you haven't heard it, it is on the front page of DU. And it is 5 minutes and 10 seconds

Great speeches are short and easy to understand. Everyone understands the great ones.
....Four Score and 7 years ago...etc...3 minutes
....To be or not to be.........about 5 minutes

Short and to the point. This is a game changer. It is all there. Even the republican attempt to interrupt at the end is there. Finally, and perhaps most important, this is the truth. No lies. What a contrast to Trump.

1. It's good enough to hear repeatedly, as I did tonight during each of the msnbc hosts' shows.

Love the fact he refused to allow a pushy, nasty Republican to butt in, as well. They had to sit there and listen to it in silence, even thought they were overwrought.

The leader of their group kept tickling his lips, stimulating his pie hole to distract himself from just taking it on the chin. Very creepy. Made him look insane.

Here's the video:

Makes me feel the need to read up on the body language of sociopaths.

5. His speech could realistically have been a marathon if he had continued to list ALL of the things

7. Schiff was cleary prepared for this

He had his speech all ready to go. It used some of the same rhetorical devices found in many JFK speeches written by Ted Sorenson.

Maddow showed the very end where Turner is trying to interrupt and Schiff cuts him off. It's around 24 minute mark.

10. There is something very strange about watching this. Adam Schiff's focus is so real.

He is so sure of the truth. It is just .."not OK". He sounds so honest and dedicated. It is clear and concise. It is magic and ...it is history. Oh, the republicans will say, "No it isn't" but the truth is not what the republicans say.
.. I believe this is a "game changer." This explains it all. Schiff is a new leader, but he is not new. He is our leader and we need to be proud of what he said. This is brilliant and true. This is it.!!
