Movie about Bin Laden killing delayed until after the election after RepubliCON complaints

"And the White House was criticized by lawmakers for its collaboration with the producers of "Zero Dark Thirty"—Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow's upcoming film on the bin Laden raid—over their possible access to classified material. Bigelow and the White House disputed the claims; the CIA said the agency's involvement with the filmmakers was not unusual and that no intelligence was compromised. The film, originally scheduled to open before the presidential election, was pushed back to Dec. 19 after Republicans complained it might affect voters."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't recall any films being delayed because of Democratic complaints.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Zero Dark Thirty is an upcoming 2012 American action thriller film about the special operations forces mission to capture or kill Osama bin Laden. The film is directed and co-produced by Kathryn Bigelow with screenplay by Mark Boal, both associated with The Hurt Locker, another military action thriller that won the Academy Award for Best Picture and five other Oscars in 2009. It will star Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton, Edgar Ramirez, and Mark Strong. ...

... The Obama Administration was accused of improperly providing Bigelow and her team access to classified information during research for the film, but Bigelow denied favoritism by Obama. The charges of improper access were featured in a documentary film entitled Dishonorable Disclosures, released in August 2012 by an organization composed of former U.S. intelligence and Special Forces operatives called Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund Inc. ...

... Opponents of the Obama Administration charged that Zero Dark Thirty was to be released in October 2012, just before the presidential election, to support the reelection of Barack Obama, who gave the command to initiate the raid and get Bin Laden. Sony has since set the release date for December, 2012 and denied that it was ever scheduled for release before the election. A prestigious December release date usually means the studio considers a film to have Academy Award potential.

3. Oh but 2016 is fine

Find out who the "REAL" Obama is. Fucking cry babies. Boycott Sony. Return your Playstations and games, and TV's. Oh and don't go see their movie in December. If Obama loses, that movie will flop, but I would still not see it. Fuck Sony.

6. I happen to know this is completely false.

That is NOT the reason for the release date.
Someone has made this up and the media has fallen for it.
SONY is telling the truth.
