Following judge's ruling, Tony Evers rescinds 82 Scott Walker appointees approved in lame-duck sessi

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers on Friday rescinded 82 of former Gov. Scott Walker's appointees who were approved in the controversial December 2018 lame-duck session, after a judge ruled on Thursday that the actions taken during the session were unconstitutional.

"These seats are now considered vacant, but we are committed to working as quickly as possible to fill them and minimize the disruption to the important work done by these boards, committees and councils," said Evers spokeswoman Melissa Baldauff in an email.

Dane County Circuit Judge Richard Niess on Thursday issued a temporary injunction blocking a set of laws passed by Republican lawmakers late last year that stripped away some powers from Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul.

I'm afraid of being too happy, but I'm, trying. I think I have Walker/Vos/Fitzgerald PTSD along with many other Wisconsinites, but we'll snap out of it.

Thank goodness for Tony Evers!

reality, these actions were unconstitutional). All actions done by these illegally appt'ed persons should also be null and void since they really didn't have any legal authority to do them.

Now let's get Kavanaugh and all those other fools McConnell has been gavaging us with. Retake the Senate! If we focus on ever Senate race in every state we win top down and eliminate the Republican Party in every state.

This was when he was running for President. He promised by coming to campus he would hold a "town hall" and take questions from students. He arrived with his "Wisconsin Mafia" - a bunch of clowns in suits with dark glasses. They were his "security" or some such nonsense. Walker made his campaign speech, took no questions from students, and disappeared into his limo. The school felt used, the students disappointed and lied to. What a douchebag.
