I guess they just get tossed in a shredder?

Or did they even exist?

The phrase "sealed indictments" sounds like indictments are filed, but under some kind of literal or metaphorical seal that is to be opened in the future. Or perhaps never opened.

I actually don't believe any such "sealed indictments" have ever existed in this case.

And I've been saying for over a year now that in the end Mueller will file a report with Congress and basically nothing will happen. Which is exactly what this looks like now.

They are in every court in the country. Generally for drug cases. You don't want the entire organization to know that a low level dealer has been indicted. People tend to flee or get killed when that happens. This is why you arrest 25 drug dealers at once. The courts don't let you abuse this process though. It has to be unsealed in a reasonable time period.

People saw this indictments and just assumed that they were from Mueller when it could be one of dozens of grand juries.

People want to think they are living in a political thriller starring George Clooney.

were delivered to federal court, simply because this happens all the time, and people just jumped to the conclusion they were from Mueller? And that there probably were no such sealed indictments from Mueller?

I hope I've got that straight, because it makes a lot of sense that way.
