1. Love it! You rock Madam Speaker -- even if you won't ITMF (yet I'm hoping).

19. Front of Wall Street Journal Today

Beto opposed ObamaCare, voted against Nancy Pelosi as House Democratic Leader & called for raising the eligibility age for Social Security. Does he sound like a Dem to you?

21. I'm more concerned st this point about how Pelosi

handled that question. She nailed it. Voting records and positions on issues will come out in the primaries. Regardless of who does it or why, criticizing Betoís record now will only be labeled by many others here as an attack by threatened, hardcore Bernie supporters. Thatís the prism some seem to apply to FDR style progressives. It gives them the power to discount any criticism because ... the source and motives. Iím sure there will be comparative displays of candidate voting records that can speak for themselves once the primaries kick into gear.

To answer your question though, no. But Iím keeping an open mind at this point. Iím leaning against him at this point but he may surprise me as things move ahead.

5. Excellent answer, Mme Speaker. ANY Dem at this point is more qualified than Trump...

Nancy P is not in the business of providing fodder for infotainment.

6. What a great response.

I honestly can't think of anyone less qualified for office than the current squatter in the White House. Every weekend, I run into little girls selling Thin Mints in front of the Kroger who have far, far more professional polish and business skills.

Trump isn't qualified to push a broom at a Taco Bell. He would be fired halfway through his first shift.

14. He wouldn't do it anyway because that is just plain honest work.

If there is no way he can lie, cheat or steal or other wise grift, he would never even consider an actual job.

18. Yes, indeed.

Trump has awakened every single day of his life wondering, "What can I do today?" instead of "What do I HAVE to get done today?" There is a massive difference between those two mindsets. He has never worked, because he's never, ever had to.

10. Listening to the audio and watching her facial expressions, I think she knew what she was asking...

...and knew both that it was a dumb question and that the answer to it was yes. She looks like she absolutely agrees with Pelosi. It was a question that needed to be asked publicly *because* the answer was yes and that Trump was the reason.

16. Surely sometimes questioners play the straight man to give the

person, in this case Speaker Pelosi, a chance to deliver a punchline. At least that is what I hope.

Pretty good endorsement of O'Rourke's experience.

20. you might want to read the exchange again

Compared to what is in our White House right now, even I have a strong enough foundation of experience to jump to the Oval Office.

It was a bullshit question, treated with some disdain.

My first thought on seeing the thread title was that it probably belongs in the primaries forum. The content, however, focuses on Speaker Pelosi's apparent disgust with the current occupant of the White House rather than an endorsement of a particular Democratic candidate.

she checks her purse every morning to make sure there's no fucks in there to give.

She's not holding back one bit.
