Trump's budget would cut $1.7 billion from child nutrition program

I’m a teacher and this is fact. Many kids depend not only on school lunch, but breakfast as well. This would devastate underprivileged communities and make our job as teachers that much more difficult. Many of us already keep snacks on hand for students who are hungry.

@IlhanMN
For many children, school lunch is the only meal they eat all day. Trump’s budget would cut $1.7 billion from child nutrition and eliminate food assistance for millions—literally taking food out of kids’ mouths.

This is not humane. This budget isn’t humane. He is not humane.

But he gives 25%tax cut to corporations. How I despise trump, let me count the ways.

He's the undisputed leader of their party. A few of them occasionally huff and puff but knuckle under within a week. They've never challenged him, and the cuts he's been making have been the things conservatives have wanted eliminated for decades.

They're fine with it, and will fight to enact it. It's theirs.
