Jed Shugerman changes his mind, thinks 12 Manafort NY charges face serious double jeopardy issue

Earlier Jed Shugerman tweeted that he did not think there were double jeopardy issues in today's Manafort indictment in New York. However, he has changed his mind. Read his full thread starting here:

CORRECTION THREAD: I think we have a NY double jeopardy problem re: Manafort.
Let me first note that I have just spent 2 hours on a train comparing today's new @manhattanda indictment to the old Mueller indictment.
Problem 1: Today's indictment is badly written and confusing...

during a two-hour train ride that the Manhattan DA's office didn't notice despite months of preparation?

2. shugerman is a law professor

but I'm with you...somehow I think the double jeopardy pitfall may have come up in the months it took the Manhattan office to research and then the file 16 indictments..sarcasm intended!!

For the Trump Soho fraud.

Now he's drawn up sloppy charges against Manafort? Sorry but this smells big time. Vance has covered up criminal Trump shit before

5. He's making broad statements without the relevant information.

Unless he has compared the offenses element by element AND is privy to the evidence NY has, his conclusions a bunch of hooey.
