Sigh. My health insurance is skyrocketing again.

Just got a letter from my insurance company. It's increasing another $70 a month, putting me up to over $400 a month!! I barely even use it and I'm only in my 30s. I was told by a health insurance expert that my plan is actually the cheapest for me.

That is absolutely insane.

1. Insane is the right word

I'm only paying $100 monthly for ACA but have a $6,500 deductible, so any substantial medical care is going to work out to around $500 a month, and that's on top of the $1,200 annual premium. I tell people the coverage is great as long as I don't actually use it.
Health care in the US is a fucking cruel joke.

5. CEOs must have their perks and vacation mansions

Health "insurance" is all overhead; it's just added to the cost of health care.

6. It is unconscionable.

Thanks for posting this . Please send emails to your representatives.

I think we have to get to some kind of critical mass before we can change it. Is there even one state where people can afford decent healthcare?

7. No nation of decent people would tolerate this.

8. Please contact your reps

We deserve single-payer/comprehensive Medicare for All. A bill was just introduced by Rep. Jayapal. Please also contact Nancy Pelosi's office to ask her to support it.

9. No one knows yet what the premiums will be for MFA

Might cost at least $400 per month too.
