I've been wondering if Trump ended the "summit" early because he didn't enjoy the accommodations...
anyone else thinking along these lines? I mean, why else would he leave early without being able to bring home some sort of perceived "win?"
No, I think Vietnam is probably on Trump's list of "shithole countries" and he just wanted to go home. I mean, he can be back at Mar-a-Lago by dinnertime tomorrow this way.

2. I heard he was going to stay up all night (day here- 12 hour timezone diff)
... and watch the Cohen testimony.
Now that Kim's spokesman is saying that Trump mis-represented the "offer", it kind of sounds like he just thought he better get back to his favorite toilet so he could tweet furiously. Any surprise that all that foreign relations stuff wasn't actually important at all? |

3. This might be why - "complete disarray" over Cohen
Scott Dworkin Verified account @funder Feb 27 BREAKING: A GOP lobbyist just told me @realDonaldTrump is in “complete disarray” and that he was “blindsided” by Cohen’s opening statement. Trump feels “betrayed” & is “absolutely furious.” Says Trump even wanted to fly back to US, and also didn’t know Cohen could bring evidence. |

We read it here on DU before Cohen gave it. I'm sure Chump could have gotten a copy if he'd wanted to.

44. "Absolutely furious." Yawn. He gets "absolutely furious" at EVERYTHING.
One of his all-beef patties too dry? Absolutely furious. Couldn't remember which shoe goes on which foot? Absolutely furious. Too much suction during this morning's ass-kissing session? Absolutely furious.
He must be a real joy to be around. |

33. North Korea held a news conference and laid out what happened
They wanted sanction relief in 5 (out of 11) specific areas of sanctions relief. In return they'd close Yongbyong, their largest and most visible nuclear facility (leaving 20 or so other sites intact).
Big ask. But because #TraitorTrump didn't allow negotiators to finish the work beforehand - #Traitor thought he could just ride in there and force KJU - it all blew up. They had a starting point but #Traitor's stupid ignorance totally fucked it up. I'm sure KJU does think it's futile negotiating with this idiot now |

41. Snort. NK has their 1st ever press conference to rebut Traitor's version of events
Or we believe #Traitor....
I'm inclined to believe that NK came prepared to shut down 1 nuclear development site in exchange for some sanctions relief, and that Traitor came prepared to demand closure of all, or all sanctions remain in place. That's exactly his style |

42. Nah, KJU is a sociopath who doesn't give a shit about his people
He murdered his own family ffs.
KJU got another photo op as a global leader making the US grovel. Win win for him. If he had to close Yongbyong, no problem, we now know there's at least 20 other sites. Sanctions relief would have been fine but KJU is eating very well obviously which is all that matters to him. The North Koreans are living under a cult of personality. They will never revolt |
