Having people who know how Kim operates to begin negotiations would be a standard procedure, before even talking about a summit. Having a forward operating team, who knows what they are doing, would have nixed that tiny chair. trump looked god awful sitting in it, while Kim looked like a cat that just ate a canary. It visually put trump in an inferior position. trump's 1st concession was to agree to partial denuclearization. Even weaker, so why wouldn't Kim go for the gold, trump already gave away the silver.
