The Media made it okay for Trump, while pissing on Hillary

No matter what garbage was uncovered about Trump in 2016, the MSM would always tell us it didn't matter to his supporters. They wanted to make sure that nothing he did was a fatal flaw.
"Hey, it's okay, people can still vote for him,"

Meanwhile, every little problem with Hillary was overblown to make it more serious than it was. (cough, Emails, cough)

It's not just reporting on what is happening, it is how they were reporting it.

There might be a lesson there for 2020.

1. Unless we boycott badly behaving media, they won't change.

Advertisers must be contacted. They only care about selling ads. Nothing else matters.

2. I am not sure what can be done

even now, as Trump's approval polls sink, the MSM is still obsessed with how his supporters are taking it. As if holding on to that 30% of deplorable Americans is more important than the majority of voters.

I hope the Dems can counter this shit come next election.

3. I think one of the most important things in establishing

a dictatorship is controlling the media. To a great extent the republican party and trump in particular have done this. The Goebbelization of the main stream media is all but complete. I'm not sure boycotts would work because the medias overriding aim is to have control of the message and through that they gain both power and money. And that is what their world is all about.
