OK, NOW look at what you've done. You made Steve Schmitd cry. I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY.

https://www.rawstory.com/2019/02/bullsht-republican-howard-schultz-consultant-storms-off-hes-asked-candidate/

Levine wanted to know the pathway to victory for Schultz, who is running as an independent. Some states have hoops and requirements for an independent candidate to get on the ballot. Schmidt dismissed the question, saying there are “multiple pathways.” He cited recent polls showing Schultz pulls Democratic votes away from Sens. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris.

Levin then asked about the 70 percent marginal tax rate for the uber-rich, which would return the tax rate. Schmidt dismissed it. Levin attempted to make a little joke about it before asking for specifics about the policy plan.

“Will Derek Jeter or another athlete not hit another home run because they’re going to get taxed at 70? What’s the economic behavior that he thinks is anti-growth, other than his own pocket?” he asked.

“This is bullsh*t,” Schmidt exclaimed. “I’m not doing this.”

“Steve, you’ve got to answer the questions,” Levine told him.

“I’m not,” Schmidt replied, slammings down his headset and stopped the interview. He then threatened the studio if it appeared on the site, The Beast said. The studio ignored him and will post it on iTunes Monday.

1. I posted in another thread

that it seems like Schmidt is having some issues. Maybe something personal or maybe all his friends are pissed off at him. Last week Nicole Wallace had daggers in her eyes when he was on her show.

3. It's the end of the Rick Wilson honeymoon for Steve

Wilson has said, clearly and emphatically and on many occasions, that he is still a Republican and all of his anti-Trump rhetoric is exactly that...anti-Trump rhetoric. As soon as Trump is gone, he'll be 100% Republican again. But right now he basks in the glow (and cashes the checks) that come from being one of the most vocal anti-Trump personalities.

Steve was getting a lot of that love too. And he squandered it, looks foolish, and the public thinks he's trying to ram Sarah Palin down our throats...AGAIN.

And making him think he has a legitimate shot.

Nicole Wallace so much and his constant condemnation of trump. After this disgusting episode with Schultz, he's lost all credibility. Just another idiotic Republican.

8. Could you please post the link to the original article where this appeared?

I don't go to Raw Story because they basically free-ride the work of other journalists and their website crashes my devices and never stops loading, gobbling up data.

Thanks in advance.

9. Grifter

Lots of them. I feel that way about Rick Wilson too. He's making money off the anxiety of dems. All of these jokers are.

Just wait.

Schmidt, Boot, Scarborough, Wilson, etc. will all return to their true form once Trump is gone.

15. One of the harshest life lessons that comes from screaming "YOU'RE ONE OF US" to a demagogue...

...is finding out that "followers" have a very short shelf life, and are imminently disposable, once they no longer fill a need.

The MAGAts keep Trump afloat.

"Everything Trump Touches Dies" is keeping Wilson financially solvent. The people who bought that book won't buy a pro-Republican, anti-Democrat book, and he can use his wit and vocabulary on virtually any subject that suits him. He'll slam Republicans until they migrate back to his world view...not that it will ever happen, but if it does, he'll be right there to "celebrate" it.

Rick ain't one of us.

Steve ain't one of us.

Trump...

...ain't. So many ain'ts.

You nailed it about Rick Wilson. I piss folks off when I point out his grifting. But that's what he's doing.

And you are so right. He ain't one of us.

21. MAGAts - can I borrow that?

I failed to do my dishes, uncovered a bowl full of wriggling white things that when I threw them in the garbage managed to work their way out of the can and all over the floor where I managed to step on them in bare feet in the dark.

I was immediately reminded of Freepers but I like your term better.

23. I'm not the originator...don't remember where I first saw it, but by all means, yes.

My patience and empathy and whatever ran out for the red hats long ago. I have a reflex action that uses that word whenever I discuss them now, and I try to not discuss them at all, but in the context of the current big picture, that's impossible.

26. I view Wilson and used to view Schmidt in a similar way to the way Churchill viewed Stalin

during WWII: an ally who I wouldn't trust any further than I could throw London Bridge. But these are extraordinary times. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

I look forward with great anticipation to the day where I can once again discount anything any "never-trumper" has to say.

14. This honestly makes me sad

His anti-Trump rants were must-see TV. I’d rewind them just to marvel at his brilliantly chosen words. I loved to listen to him.

This second big mistake is going to be harder to come back from than if it had just been the one (Palin). But I hope he does, somehow, if he’s repentant enough. I still think he’s hilarious... not now, of course, but he can be hilarious again.

19. I have to admit, I just don't get it.

Shultz, in 25 words or less, is a billionaire with no political experience, seeking to preserve his own self-interests.

It's about as transparent as a mime seeking to navigate a non-existent wall.

It's not like one has to probe and ponder his motivations, and we all "get" it. but apparently Shultz...and Schmidt...think that if America can be hoodwinked by Trump, the path is clear for more of his ilk to follow in his footsteps. The only thing Schultz isn't doing is selling hats, but you know what they say..."never say never."

28. Truly, Schmidt has disappointed. i actually thought he was a real patriot and traditional conservti

He is now coming across as a Trump enabler. He was on the right path when he told Republicans to vote for Democrats, no matter what back when he was pundit on MSNBC.

No matter. I think Trumps con job on the taxes will be a huge factor with enough of his base to make them stay home or vote for somone else.

30. I've been railing against Schmidt for many months in spite of his anti-Trump rants.

This is a guy who worships at the alter of Saint Ronnie. He and many other Never Trumpers want desperately for people to think the pre-Trump Republican Party had nothing to do with the rise of Trump, and that all will be well with the GOP once Trump is gone. In other words, Schmidt is full of shit and an opportunist. Always has been.

But then maybe Schultz will peel off votes form Republicans. I don't know. I'm so fed up. I thought Schmit had a conscience. Obviously people of Schmit's ilk are ''guns'' for hire, in terms of running campaigns. That's what they do.
