According to trump, regarding Richard Burr. Is this true? I missed it.
“Senator Richard Burr, The Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, just announced that after almost two years, more than two hundred interviews, and thousands of documents, they have found NO COLLUSION BETWEEN TRUMP AND RUSSIA! Is anybody really surprised by this?”

1. Relax. Burr is a republican congress critter, so of course he lied, it's in his DNA.
Wait for the Mueller report.

2. No
It's Big Baby retrofitting a statement to fit his mythology. Here is the interview:
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/richard-burr-on-senate-intelligence-committees-russia-investigation-2-years-on/ Here's the statement that the president says exonerates him: For now, Burr appears to have arrived at his answer. "If we write a report based upon the facts that we have, then we don't have anything that would suggest there was collusion by the Trump campaign and Russia," he said.
The Senate investigation is not over. There is no official conclusion or findings. Burr is stating what he has so far. The interview is way more nuanced and Big Baby doesn't do nuance. |

5. Thank you
SO many repukes don't seem to want to understand the English language.
There's a huge difference between "we haven't found" and "there isn't any". It's like if your car keys are lost. You can't find them, but that doesn't mean that they don't exist. |

10. But even Burr is saying that what the committee has
found goes way beyond what he believes Mueller is investigating and it may take a decade for the senate investigation to get to all they have found. He also says there is bipartisan agreement within the committee.

12. Here's Seth Abramson unpacking what Burr actually said. It's very damning to trump.

14. So Burr never actually said that
I suspect the Senate investigation is slow-rolled to protect trump. If they have proof that trump has broke the law they need to act on it sooner, rather than later. But trump pushes all the republican policies, so they will let him stay where he is, no matter his maleficence.

7. Sen Mark Warner said committee didn't know Cohen had lied about Trump Moscow stuff during campaign
So Richard Burr, like Nunes can say his committee found no collusion because it was was covered up and denied by Trumpers such as Michael Cohen who lied while Roger Stone refused to testify or provide documents to Senate invoking 5th.
Co-chair Mark Warner said he was shocked to find out in the Cohen plea deal that Cohen had lied to Senate about Trump Tower Moscow and that Senate committee knew nothing about the Trump Moscow dealings that continued through the campaign in 2016 until Cohen's plea deal. Obviously Burr's committee has not collected sufficient evidence to make any conclusion about collusion. |

8. I would agree with Warner.
There is insufficient evidence that has been collected by their Committee. They were lied to in Committee. The facts have changed.

Just wait for it.

16. It is easy to determine no collusion when
1) The investigation is not over.
2) The Senate has not confirmed the testimony of witnesses. 3) The Senate has avoided evidence that would determine collusion as well as obstruction of justice. |

18. Isn't this old news?
I thought the republicans shut down their investigation because they claimed there was no fire or even smoke for that matter. I believe it's been viewed as obstruction of justice and was around the same time Nunes was playing Red Rover with the White House and releasing intel memos.
The republicans are complicit. |

19. That was the House Judiciary Committee under Devin Nunes
The Senate investigation, of which Burr is chair, is ongoing.
The new chair of the House Judiciary Committee is Adam Schiff and he has re-opened the House investigation. |
