Who cares if a complete Trump wall will destroy or endanger several wildlife species

US to waive environmental reviews for San Diego border wall
Elliot Spagat, Associated Press Updated 11:02 pm CST, Thursday, February 7, 2019

Environmental groups criticized the latest waiver.

"Trump is ignoring laws that protect public health and endangered wildlife so he can fulfill a hateful campaign promise," said Laiken Jordahl, borderlands campaigner for the Center for Biological Diversity. "Communities and ecosystems along the border are being upended by this militarization, but Border Patrol won't even give residents the decency of a public hearing. This is the definition of lawlessness."

The Trump administration has awarded $1 billion worth of wall contracts mostly to replace existing barriers including $716 million to SLSCO. Work on the first extension begins this month, 14 miles in Rio Grande Valley, by far the busiest corridor for illegal crossings.

Even worse than ANY oil pipeline, a barrier, of the magnitude Trump is proposing, will change everything in the environment, not just the view. No animals, except birds, can cross the barrier, already under construction - WITHOUT CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL - for water/ food or follow normal migratory patterns. Many renditions of the Trump wall would also reduce wind and potentially alter weather patterns.

1. I'm sure Junior will be concerned

if there's any chance he might miss getting to shoot a member of an endangered species.
