Economy Thrashing- have you heard?

I have been reading about something is going to happen with the economy sometime in December of this year. And this morning one of my clients who is a copper and medal seller reinforced it. He said no one in the market is buying that everyone is on hold. He hears that rich ppl know what's coming- that the dollard will collapse and it will be worse than 1930s.

It's scary. Whtas going on? Have any of you heard of economy thrashing in December?

1. Might be referring to the fiscal cliff coming in a few months

Last year, during the fully-fake debt-ceiling negotiations, both parties agreed to massive cuts in military and social programs if they couldn't negotiate anything different in the future. The cuts start this January. The Congressional Budget Office has said this will cause another recession.
