I read this. I watched this. Then I remembered Danny Pearl.

Democracy Dies in Darkness

Excellent Super Bowl presentation on freedom of the press.

A slap in the face to Trump's calling America's media "The Enemy of the People."

Trump mouths the words of every tyrant and every enemy of freedom when he calls the free press "Fake News," and "America's Enemy."

Trump's anti-American attack on the 1st Amendment will go down in American history as an attack on our Constitution.

May we ALWAYS have the courage to speak truth to power.

Daniel (Danny) Pearl

Daniel Pearl (October 10, 1963 – February 1, 2002) was a journalist for The Wall Street Journal with American and Israeli citizenship. He was kidnapped and later beheaded by terrorists in Pakistan.[1][2][3]

Pearl was working as the South Asia Bureau Chief of The Wall Street Journal, based in Mumbai, India. He was kidnapped when he had gone to Pakistan as part of an investigation into the alleged links between British citizen Richard Reid (known as the "shoe bomber" and Al-Qaeda. Pearl was killed by his captors.[4][5]

In July 2002, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British national of Pakistani origin, was sentenced to death by hanging for Pearl's abduction and murder.[1][6] In March 2007, at a closed military hearing in Guantánamo Bay, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, a member of Al-Qaeda, claimed that he had personally beheaded Pearl.[2][7][8] Researchers have also connected Al-Qaeda member Saif al-Adel with the kidnapping.[3]

The details of his torture and death gruesome. He left behind his 8 month pregnant wife.

We all know who the real 'ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE IS' thy name is trump, the FAKE president.

I repeat:

A slap in the face to Trump's calling America's media "The Enemy of the People."

Trump mouths the words of every tyrant and every enemy of freedom when he calls the free press "Fake News," and "America's Enemy."

Trump's anti-American attack on the 1st Amendment will go down in American history as an attack on our Constitution.

May we ALWAYS have the courage to speak truth to power.
