Go Straight To Hell Howard Schultz - Healthcare For All

Not just for the lucky.

""Schultz recalled a clip previously aired of Senator Harris supporting Medicare for all by saying “she wants to abolish the insurance industry.”

“That’s not correct. That’s not American,” Schultz claimed, adding “What’s next? What industry are we going to abolish next? The coffee industry?” ""

Watching the poor die is far more American than other countries where all citizens are covered with better overall care and outcomes for half the price.

Replace insurance workers with people to provide care. Alzheimers rates are exploding.

Tax sugar and flour to pay for health care.

Or was it China? Saudi Arabia? Israel? Or is it just ego? I understand revolutions and guilotines now. The super rich are insufferable in their insatiable greed and lust for power.

(per news reports on today's DU) link: https://www.democraticunderground.com/100211744087

How will that help the health insurance industry? We've missed the boat in the US because we've wasted too much time and money bowing to entrenched interests like the insurance industry. Stop worrying about special interests and start fixing the things that are broken. Whoever can do that will win the people's votes. I doubt it would be Howard Schultz, but I'll give him a chance to present his case before I tune him out.

About poor people. Sometimes the ones who make it rich after being poor think everybody should be able to do that and have a chip on their shoulder attitude about it. He reminded me of that.

as a healthcare delivery system. It was meant to help people pay unexpected bills they couldn't reasonably afford to save for and used underwriting to set the price. Most people died before or not long after serious bills were incurred because good treatments didn't exist.

Now, we use healthcare for routine health maintenance. For several decades.

The man's an idiot and/or cynically appealing to idiots. My guess is both.
