and seeing the joke of a round table, Liz Cheney, Chuck Todd admiring Trump's "compromise, and the like, I have concluded this:
Nancy Pelosi needs to do to Chuck Todd what Newt Gingrich did to Tim Russert. She needs to let him know that peopel of her caucus will not participate in his show any longer since he is clearly biased against them. Let them have an imitation FOX Newshour every Sunday so that they get the reputation for Right-wing inclusion that they so desire.

(797 posts)I haven't watched "Meet the Press" in years. I stopped before Tim Russert passed away. Apparently, the agenda never changes.

(8,905 posts)not really watching, just while making coffee. The first thing I heard in the background was some pundit talking about how Trump's "proposal is a start". I can't stand Todd, but this narrative is the whole idea behind Trump's stunt yesterday, which is to try to sell this bucket of shit as some kind of genuine effort by Trump to end the shutdown and therefore the shutdown should be blamed on the democrats or they should at least share in the blame. (I just heard it again as I am typing this! Twice!) The target of their narrative, of course, is the segment of the audience that is ignorant. And of course this is what Todd and corporate media do. I'm sure we will hear it sporadically all day on MSNBC and CNN, I've been expecting it ever since Trump made the announcement he was going to have a speech yesterday.
