We will not be extorted!
Donald Trump bragged on live TV that he would shut down our government and that he would carry the mantle for doing it. Once again, he lied. Now he wants to blame it on someone else.
We have sent several bills to open our government to Mitch McConnell and the Senate and they have refused to vote on them. We will continue to send them legislation that will open our government. They are acting like puppets of Donald Trump, instead of an equal branch of government.
The people need to know who is responsible for shutting down our government. So far, the Democrats have voted nine times to open our government.
They are trying to hold the American people hostage and the people need to speak up.

(82,849 posts)What McDonald really wants to do is set fire to $5 billion. That money won't finance any significant portion of the maguffin, but giving in gives the hostage taker what he wants. The House is speaking up, and so are people all over the country. Trump's support is slipping, even in his pet Rasmussen poll, and not much matters more to Needy Amin than his poll numbers.
The Democrats have said "No" for a grand total of only two weeks, and Trump is not handling it very well at all.

(8,922 posts)The democrats can't give in to hostage taking tactics. Period. It's not about a wall. We need to put an end to this destructive tactic, even if we need a constitutional amendment to do it.

(13,568 posts)....which is what the plan has been all along.
Tear down the structure of administration, empty out the agencies of employees, appoint "acting" executives not confirmed by Congress, sow chaos, create financial collapse, stifle trade and tourism.
That's the plan.
Rolling out as we speak.
