I am an old white dude and do not appreciate being told that I "need to go away". It's something a repug would say..."just go away you fucking librul".

But you bring up a good point. It hits a nerve. Women are told to shut up and go away all the time. The old white dudes I am thinking of are the power-hungry, greedy, controlling, sexist and racist dudes. If you don't fall into that category, it's not referring to you. I also think it's because of the year of the woman with the record number of women winning in the midterms. Women are just not worried about being silent or shutting up and taking it, it's time for women to step up. It's also not about worrying about being likeable or being nice. I think it's critical that women's voices are being heard.
