Any Republicans Smart Enough To Understand How Bad They Are Losing On This Wall Shutdown?

It seems instead of another blue wave in 2020, they want a blue ocean, with no Republicans anywhere.

Are they all trying to impress Trump for god knows what reason, or are they simply that stupid?

This is insane.

Open the government you fools.

4. They are spooked by the

85% approval of Rump among the deplorables, while they may be well aware of reality of getting swamped by another blue wave in 2020.

3. The shutdown will go beyond the STOU address....

Imagine Nancy Pelosi sitting next to Mike Pence?

What will Trump say if his poll numbers drop below 38%? That the State of the Union is just peachy keen? It is not and we know it.

5. Reminds me of an old joke...

Guy jumps out the window of a 40 story building and each window he passes on the way down he can be heard saying, "So far, so good".

Ladies and gentlemen I give you the 2019 Republican party!

7. "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when...

...his salary depends upon his not understanding it!" - Upton Sinclair

And don't think I'm referring to their government salaries.

9. Every day this continues

More republicans will be replaced in 2020. Looks like they learned nothing from the Mid Term disaster that they had happen to them. There is no way trump will run facing a Congress in complete Democrat control , and he's scamming donors again , and will use the campaign funding from them for legal bills and for himself.

14. Lose in the primary or lose in the general?

That is the decision they are facing. They fear if they oppose the president, they'll get challenged by a Trumper and lose. Many of them from "redder" states figure they have a better shot of beating a democrat in the general, than being challenged by a Trumper in the primary.
