OK, who had 14 hours? Romney supports wall.

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/romney-vote-for-border-wall_us_5c2d301ee4b05c88b7057ef5

Incoming Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) revealed he would support President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall one day after publishing an opinion piece in The Washington Post critiquing nearly everything about the current administration.

“I would vote for the border wall,” Romney, former Republican presidential candidate, told CNN’s Jake Tapper in a Wednesday afternoon interview.

Pence is out, and to get the V.P. position, he has to be a solid MAGAt. When he gets the MAGAt-V.P., he is just 1 heartbeat away or 1 impeachment & conviction away from becoming Prez "Slime" Romney.

But because the Senate is not about him, he'll quickly grow bored with it.

I do think he could be one of the Senators to turn on 45. Again, it has to be in his best interests and he'll have to see that there is something in it for him. At this point, I think national praise would be enough.

My guess is he came out in favor of the wall (which is ironic given the history of his faith) because he has no real choice. McConnell has said he won't forward a bill without 45's blessing. So it's better to go with the flow than to stick out at this point.

Trump agenda items... he doesn't like Crooked Donald, personally. We tend to elevate Republicans who come out against Trump and think they're fine folks... Romney, McCain, Mueller, Comey, Rod Rosenstein, etc, etc... in the end, they are all Republicans...

Probably Romney thinks that immigrants are nothing but useless "Takers," who will require a safety net, which costs money. So no surprises from Romney. He can pose as Senator Moral Giant, but I still see him as an ignorant, selfish Morman. Nothing to brag about.

The wall thing may be a big scam and all the grifters who publicly support it will get a kickback.

Seems suspicious that the border "problem" started with the "solution" (wall) and a big price tag rather than going through some regular order for an infrastructure project: determine need, consider options, get estimates, take bids, award contracts, etc. Where's the GAO?

Maybe Drumpf's band of grifters figured out how to use no-bid contracts, spend a little of the money on a "wall" to show his suckers, and pocket the rest--similar to his inauguration money.
