General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThe House Democrats are going to tear the Trump administration to pieces, live on TV.
The investigations on corruption alone will be wide and endless. President goo goo ga ga will have a hard time changing the news cycle on the investigations because they will be endless. That will drive him nuts.
Most of our government agencies will be investigated. Priutt and the EPA, Zinke and the Dept. of the Interior, Dept of Homeland Security and the Children who died on the border, and many more.
Hopefully they will call Whitaker quickly to testify and get that piece of shit under oath. We could see people like Kushner, Trumps son, Flynn, Cohen called to testify.
Countless people in Trumps Whitehouse are in very serious legal jeopardy. Many of them will probably be indicted for perjury.
The American people do not like corruption. Starting next month the American people will watch all the corruption being exposed on TV. It will be endless and Trump will slowly be destroyed or he will self destruct. This is going to be ugly and beautiful at the same time.
I am going to enjoy every minute of it. It has been a long two years.

(6,709 posts)It's funny isn't it? Republicans in Congress all but coached administration members to lie to them, for the cameras, and now many could well be charged for doing it. I bet tRump isn't the only one wearing diapers at the WH these days.

(160,516 posts)in hope he can summon his psychopaths to run for their guns and start picking off Democrats, lib'ruls, everyone who doesn't glow in the dark with whiteness, anyone with a foreign accent, meaning north of the Mason-Dixie line, and everyone who might seem to look down on them, real or imagined. Or, anyone who even owes them money.
He will go for broke hoping to bring them all out of the hills, empty the bars at 10:00 in the morning, get them on the run so fast they don't have time to put on their sheets.
I do hope you're right, however. There are more humans than subhumans, after all. They are actually outnumbered.
They seem like many but it's because one of them anywhere is too many.

(82,849 posts)It's up to us to make it relevant and understandable to the Nitwit Brigade, and tear their weak-ass "arguments" to shreds. It's the basic spadework of driving public opinion, and a good portion of that work falls to us. We need to hammer on the facts and keep hammering on them so that even the lowest information voter gets it. There's an irreducible minority of Republican fanboiz who will never get it, and will oppose it, perhaps even violently. But there is a segment of our society that just plain doesn't engage on politics. They have been carefully taught and schooled in the notion that both sides are to blame for government dysfunction, and that there's no point in paying attention to the political circus. Who do you suppose benefits most from that attitude?
That's where we come in: We have to overcome our reticence to repeat ourselves. As intelligent folks, we figure that everyone "gets it" once they're told, like we "get it." But that's not how it works. People need to be told again and again, because it's not that important to them. Republican leadership understands that their popularity is dependent on hammering home their talking points a gazillion times so that their base truly believes that the greediest motherfuckers to ever walk the planet really have the best interests of the hoi polloi at heart. It's patently absurd after even the most cursory review of Republican policies and programs that they give a tin shit about working people, but Republican propaganda work is effective in convincing their base to believe Republican moonshine and not their own experience.
