Trump is crowing on Twitter about the ACA being ruled unconstitutional by a wacko judge in Texas

As I predicted all along, Obamacare has been struck down as an UNCONSTITUTIONAL disaster! Now Congress must pass a STRONG law that provides GREAT healthcare and protects pre-existing conditions. Mitch and Nancy, get it done!

Wow, but not surprisingly, ObamaCare was just ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL by a highly respected judge in Texas. Great news for America!

Trump is, as always, an idiot.

See this Dave Weigel tweet pointing out that "Higher courts expected to laugh this (ruling) out of existence."

Vox article and analysis he links to:

Editing to add more about the federal judge who came up with this absurd ruling:

The judge who just ruled that the ACA was unconstitutional, is the same judge who earlier this year ruled that the 40-year-old Indian Child Welfare Act was unconstitutional—a ruling so bizarre that even the nation's most conservative appeals court put a hold on his decision.

This judge, Reed O'Connor, is also the same judge who gutted attempts by Obama to protect transgender rights, and ruled that ACA provisions prohibiting gender discrimination was a violation of religious freedom -- that's why Josh Hawley shopped his case to this court.

The SC already ruled it Constitutional. This ruling has no standing. For that matter neither does still_one Dec 2018 #6
