Moral and ethical suicidal tendencies, along with a desire to be front and center at the congression

hearings, are the requisite character points for the next White House chief of staff. This is what we have come to. A nation anticipating congressional hearings, hearings that will have Nuremberg like qualities and consequences.

What kind of individual would actually think taking this job could be a good idea? There is no way it can work out well for that person. Just looking at how trump treats people, the ones he allegedly likes, should be more than enough to send anyone with an IQ greater than a potted plant running.

We are in an odd position as a nation right now. We see, day by day, incrementally, criminal acts by this president exposed in the news. We have warning signs and flags about his conspiracy with the Russians, Saudis and republicans stupid enough to think they are smart enough to escape their involvement with trump’s criminal conduct.

We watch these proceedings as if they were some sort of sporting event. So many people have been convicted and sentenced, are about to plead guilty and are hoping to provide information sufficient to keep them out of prison, it boggles the mind. Sporting events have winners and losers.

We, the entire nation, will be in the end, the biggest loser. There are no winners in the forthcoming hearings, just exposed losers who will flop like fish trying to justify why they sold out their nation to a foreign enemy. Our credibility and honor have been, perhaps irrevocably, been harmed by this president and his fawning fools. The world will forever see us with a jaundiced eye, and deservedly so.

We, the nation as a whole, are the marks in the biggest political con ever. It will take remarkably skilled, forthright and honest efforts to undo, recover and move to the proper plane of political existence for our nation. The elements that have been working to undermine the signal features of our democracy must be brought to heel. The money lords who think democracy is a cash and carry endeavor, the power elite republicans who think they are entitled, not just to govern, but rule as if royalty and the hate mongers who think the only life worth living, and being allowed to live, is that which they define in their feverish frothings of exclusion and phobias of numerous prefixes.

Mueller will not save us. He will only give us the chance to save ourselves. His investigation will give a window and mirror. A window into the workings and machinations of a criminal political coup manipulated by foreign governments. He will give us a mirror to see ourselves as we have become. Are we Americans? Or have we become something woefully not American? Something dark, resentful and craven?

We must step into the light from the shadow of trump’s darkness and reclaim our nation before something even worse comes and relieves us of our democracy forever. The congressional hearings will be the beginning of that recovery. But we as citizens must show our support for the job to come.
