He has taken all the money he can out of Russia, so next step it to steal money from other countries. He needs NATO weakened, he needs the US weakened, he needs Europe, Canada, all democracies weakened.

Best way to do it is to take out the big fish.

with his casinos and then his hotels/condos here in this country, which is why the Russians strung him along on the Moscow hotel.

It doesn't do the oligarchs any good to buy a unit in Russia when they want to get their money out of Russia.

He was also a candidate for Putin's long range plan as president. It worked but has sorta backfired on Putin and trump as the investigation of the stolen election is closing in.

Too bad, and the same goes for the czarina and her brothers and their businesses. They will all be in the dump soon too.

Did a Real Estate Project Influence Trump’s View of Russia Sanctions?

WASHINGTON — In late March 2016, steaming toward the Republican nomination and with his aides still secretly in talks for a real estate deal in Russia, Donald J. Trump made a lengthy case for giving President Vladimir V. Putin what he wanted most: relief from American-led sanctions for his annexation of Crimea.

“It didn’t seem to me like anyone else cared, other than us,” Mr. Trump said in an interview then with The New York Times, his first lengthy description of what his foreign policy would look like if he was elected. Cohen, pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about the state of the negotiations over the real estate project’s fate. If Mr. Cohen’s latest version of events is proved true, Mr. Trump was publicly offering a conciliatory and possibly self-interested policy gesture to Moscow as he continued to seek a ..."

Senate Dems call for probe into why Trump has not issued Russia sanctions
"A trio of key Democratic senators is calling on agency watchdogs to investigate why the Trump administration has not fully implemented mandated sanctions on Russia.

The lawmakers sent a letter Friday asking the inspectors general of the State Department, Treasury Department and the intelligence community to examine the administration's failure to impose the financial penalties on Russia."

Trump failed. He's fairly useless to Putin now, although disrupting the globe and wrecking our relationship with all our allies is also helpful to Putin.

China is benifiting greatly.
