I think he'll shut down the government.

He's got to get the focus off the new Cohen bombshell and back on to the wall.

4. That's his best option besides war

Go after the non-white immigrants. Create another immigration crisis to keep the wall in the news and put pressure on the Democratic congress to pass his immigration "reforms" and fund the wall.

Works with his base and Faux.

5. I think you are right. It won't matter to him how much damage it causes as long as it

takes the attention away from his problems.

9. That would certainly take the attention away

and the CR deadline is next week on that fateful day of infamy -December 7th. However Congress could override a veto if they wanted to.

13. He's done.

The only question is whether he loses in 2020 or is removed from office before then.

14. And like w/ trade tariffs, he'll do it without any strategy of how to use it to get to his goal

or even what exactly his goal is. So we will have a manufactured, self-inflicted harm... with no clear prioritization of potential outcomes in mind which would allow genuine negotiation by the other parties involved, and no clear conception of how this "leverage" enables any movement towards this goal.
