Trump's proposal for a state-run news network sounds like an earlier Pence effort

President Donald Trump's Twitter proposal to start a state-run news network sounded similar to something his No. 2, Mike Pence, considered when he was governor of Indiana which didn't go over well.

In 2015, Pence made plans to start a state-run, taxpayer-funded news website called "Just IN" that would have featured stories and news releases written by state press secretaries.

"At times, Just IN will break news publishing information ahead of any other news outlet. Strategies for determining how and when to give priority to such 'exclusive' coverage remain under discussion," according to a question-and-answer sheet distributed to communications directors for state agencies in 2015.

Pence later ditched the website amid uproar from legislative leaders and the public.

At the time House Speaker Brian Bosma jokingly told reporters that he had ordered Russian translation software for the roll-out of the news service, comparing it to state-run media in other countries.

Iron Curtain Conservatives.

I think we'll soon understand just how involved Pence is in this whole Russian-conspiracy scandal he really is. He doesn't appear to be that separate from tRump on anything.

1. Pence must go to prison along with the rest of them. I think our decent politicians are starting

to understand that there are enough of us who are going to DEMAND certain outcomes.
