Donald Trump Gets Fact-Checked By Reporter Right To His Face, Walks Away

“You did not have it, sir. No, you didn’t.”

By Lee Moran

A reporter earned praise Monday after she called out President Donald Trump, over one of his more questionable claims, right to his face.

CBS’ Paula Reid challenged Trump over his discredited assertion that his administration’s policy of separating migrant children from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border was the same as that conducted by former President Barack Obama.

“Obama had a separation policy. We all had the same policy,” Trump said. “You did not have it, sir. No, you didn’t,” Reid fired back.

Trump said he “tried to do it differently” and claimed “Obama had a separation policy” but “people don’t like to talk about it.” As Trump walked away, Reid said: “Sir, it was different. You decided to prosecute everyone at the border.”

separated children was if the people accompanying the child were deemed an immediate danger to the child. It was not a blanket policy to separate all children, if I recall correctly.

Trump standing in Obama's shadow acknowledges Trump, even if its just standing in his shadow. He doesnt even deserve to stand next to Obama, let alone his shadow.

must be held accountable. Sure, we, the reasonable population left in America must first regain full power. But when we do, WHEN we do, these criminals must be tried. We can't let the republicans get away with their criminal behavior like we did for the Iraq war or like earlier, when republicans DESTROYED our inner cities on purpose by facilitating the import of cocaine. Heads must roll. ENOUGH!

Like you said, they rarely if ever go punished. I think that's because everyone up to this point has had some redeeming sort of quality, human wise.
Trump, I cant think of anything that's gonna save Trump.

Reagan was saved by being the Gipper. We can thank the "media" for that.

Bush Sr, I think Bill Clinton made us forget about him.

Then ol Georgey Poo, I have a feeling he really didnt want to be there most of the time, and that in itself is a redeeming quality.

Also, having President Obama helped in putting the bad taste of Bush out of thei mouth. Do I get points for acknowledging or ignoring the double en tandre, or did I still do it wrong?

Dog help Trump is all I can say.

Fact checking Shitler should not be news. EVERYONE should be doing it. Pathetic that it's such a rarity that it garners a headline. Even more pathetic that the obvious question prompted by the fact check is not then asked: "Why are you lying about that?"

If he lies, the next follow-up question should be "That was a lie Mr. President, can we please have a truthful response?"

They need to pop his bubble and force him to stop the free-flowing lying as a general response.

I don't care for Tom Cruise as a person.

Jack Nicholson is not far ahead of the curve. He is one of the best actors of my lifetime.
