What if Trump openly obstructs justice by pardoning Manafort.
Because that is going to happen.
Just you wait.

1. While a very likely scenario, it is unlikely that obstructions charges will be used against him for
any pardon.
What hopefully will be done, is when the Democrats take over the House in a few weeks, they will make this all public |

2. Manafort can still be charged for numerous crimes at the state level
And Trump digs himself deeper.
It's starting to feel like the end of this comes down to how willing the remaining Senate R's will be to go down with him. That's just regarding the end of Trump's presidency. I'm becoming more sure that the end of his life will be in prison or Russia. Perhaps both. ![]() |

3. won't matter if the speculation we are seeing tonight is true..
...that Mueller set Manafort up and Manafort tripped the trap by passing info to Trump.
Let's hope Trump hears that news while he's on stage tonight. |

5. I just wrote the same thing on another post.
I have the feeling that Corsi and Papadopoulos are going to attempt that now too.
Manafort will still be charged with money laundering at the state level, right? |

6. One of the things I believe a Dem controlled congress should work on
is proposing an amendment to limit the pardon power of the president.
The proposed amendment bar the president from: - Pardoning him/herself and his/her family under any circumstance. - Pardoning former Presidents and Vice Presidents, Cabinet members, Senators and Reps. - Issuing unilateral pardons of anyone else. |
