PayDirt found that ‘Judge’ Jeanine still owes nearly $600,000 to vendors and stopped filing required updates to the FEC years ago.

“Judge” Jeanine Pirro is the voice of law and order in President Donald Trump’s cable news echo chamber, making it particularly noteworthy that she has been flouting federal election rules for years.

The lawyer-turned-Fox News host mounted an ill-fated run for the U.S. Senate in 2006, when she vied for the Republican nomination to challenge then-Sen. Hillary Clinton before dropping out after just four months. But in that brief period, Pirro’s campaign managed to rack up nearly $600,000 in debts to its campaign vendors.

Candidates can’t dissolve their campaign committees until all their debts are repaid, or a plan is put in place to do so. As a result, Pirro’s campaign remains active to this day. But the status of its huge campaign debts isn’t clear, because the committee stopped filing financial reports with the Federal Election Commission nearly seven years ago.

In its last FEC filing, the committee reported that it still owed about $589,000 to 20 different vendors. Its biggest outstanding debt was a $222,559.25 debt owed to the Lukens Company, a Republican fundraising firm. Other notable lenders included Mercury Public Affairs, the powerhouse Republican consulting and political affairs shop, and telemarketing firm FLS Connect.

In the fourth quarter of 2011, the last filing period for which the campaign submitted financials to the FEC, it didn’t report paying down any of its debts. But it did cut checks..................................................

In the fourth quarter of 2011, the last filing period for which the campaign submitted financials to the FEC, it didn’t report paying down any of its debts. But it did cut checks to two consultants:

Bruce Bellmare, the campaign’s treasurer and an attorney at the law offices of Pirro’s husband, and Jeffrey Buley, who ran a political consulting firm with her husband that, in 2008, was sanctioned by NY authorities for failing to file lobbying disclosure paperwork with the state

It’s impossible to know from public records if any of the Pirro campaign’s debts were ever repaid due to its consistent lack of legally required financial filings.

The FEC has sent the campaign 19 notices, the latest just last month, requesting that it fulfill its filing requirements, to no avail.

Makes perfect sense she supports Trump. They both screw other people for their own benefit. You'd think with her FOX Noise salary she could pay some people.

The Debt Statute of Limitations has passed after 12 years. If the creditors had sued her campaign they could collect on their judgment. That is why when a campaign comes knocking you require payment up front.

I'd be willing to bet the vendors she stiffed don't feel the fairness. By now, of course, they've written off the debts or gone out of business - maybe, in part, due to being stiffed. We don't know.

The point of the OP is not whether or not she's still legally liable. It's about her character.

She holds up Trump as an example of who people should be. She ran for office as a law and order conservative.

I could forgive her if she didn't promote a con man who is proud he doesn't pay people and says they get their payment by being associated with his name. That's certainly changed in the last two years.

There is vast difference between having difficult times that lead one to defaulting on a debt and making it part of your standard business practices. The former is forgivable, the latter is just plain immoral and unethical.

Jeanine has some fascinating lips.

Almost hypnotic.

The kind of lips Newt Gingrich would love.

NY State troopers pulled her over late at night because she was doing over 100mph and driving erratically. She told the trooper she was on her way to see her ailing mother . . . . rrrrright.

I've been wondering about that since the day it happened. I have heard nothing.

No way that woman passed a Breathalyzer. That poor little device would blow a fuse if she even blew a kiss at it.
