Let me tell you how you fight this guy:

You get on tv, or a public appearance and you do what a combination of George Carlin and Joseph Welch would do: you say:

“Stop with this mealy-mouthed, half-assed, politically-correct, flabbergastingly-inadequate repartee. This man is the fucking stupidest, fucking ignorant, fucking biggest lying, creepy, malicious, vacant, inadequate, phonies individual I have ever witnessed in my (fill-in-the-blank) years. And on top of everything else he’s a business failure of the first order, having been propped up by family and seditiously foreign-power money for his entire life.”

If this were repeated often enough, it would become the accepted truth.

And oh yes, stop calling him “The President”. Just stop it.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Well into a bull market and a recovering economy, America apparently decided we could afford to put a clown in charge and watch the train wreck, because entertainment is more important than governance.

But now that the markets are turning down and there's a recession on the horizon, and real people are getting hurt by guns and ever-more wild natural disasters, and our allies are making plans without us, it's getting old watching the f-student class clown frat boy react to a differential equations question.

But America, through its arcane, not tremendously democratic vote-counting system that gives unequal weight based on geography, and with an assist from Russia, decided.

In any event, point is, some might have thought things were going well enough that could afford to have a clown presidency.

I don't think too many people will be thinking that by November 2020.

For the same reason I don't really spend much time talking about his appearance or laughing at the Trump baby blimp, why I don't watch Seth Myers/Jimmy/Noah/Colbert newsy comedy shows.

He is the President. It's not a bad season of reality TV, it's history.

It really happened and it is happening and the damage is vast.

It is a fact that I take straight with no chaser.

And I respect that everyone is trying to make sense of this in their own way.

Trump will be gone, but those people will still be here.

I like your rant but what pisses me off more is calling Republicans, conservatives. Someone needs to do a rant and straighten that shit out. When they are in power they spend like drunken sailors, Trump has increased our debt by 1.5 trillion, from tax cuts to the rich, tax cuts to corporations, and doing what Ike warned us not to do, building our 14th aircraft carrier when the rest of the world has 3, then they want to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. They sure as hell aren't conservative toward the environment we are being poisoned and California is burning down and coastal cities are drowning.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Stop with the conservatives, I'm ok with fascist Nazis.

He is the President.

It is a horrible fact that I want to look squarely in the face.

Hitler was the Chancellor of Germany. Not the "Tiny Hands Try-Hard"

Stalin was the Premier of the Soviet Union not "The Angry Pornstache"

Mao was the Chairman of the Communist Party of China not "Crabby Pajamapants"

I get that people take comfort in denying the horrible fact of Trump's Presidency, but I wish not to be asked to stop calling water wet.

The Presidential bully pulpit and office is a powerful single voice. There is no other like it in the country. An army of truth-sayers can't overcome a cult following a single Prophet, which is how they view The Orange One.

But people have been pointing out repeatedly that he's a pathological liar, vulgar, crass, juvenile, hateful, white supremacy-promoting, and all the rest. It HAS had an effect. But it can't cancel out a cult following. Only the law can do that.
