"The entire White House press corps should walk out and stop indulging this bully"

"Trump's decision to revoke Acosta's pass to the White House grounds is an outrageous ramping up of his campaign against a questioning, robust. free media.

In response to a man who treats his Presidency as if it's a series of a particularly bizarre reality-TV show, the entire White House press corps should walk out. Deny him coverage. Take him off the air. Cancel his series. Leave him to rage into Twitter's echo chamber, which is all he deserves.

As Peter Baker, the chief White House correspondent for The New York Times, said on Twitter: "This is something I've never seen since I started covering the White House in 1996. Other presidents did not fear tough questioning."

In Britain, too, Prime Ministers are asked tough, sometimes very hardline questions. I have covered UK politics during the terms of four Prime Ministers, and I have never seen a response like this."

19. Something

Needs to happen.

It isn't the reporters he's actually insulting, it's the first amendment.

2. What if he held a presser and no one came?

Just a pure hypothetical. When I was a kid they had all these signs at Yellowstone saying don't feed the bears. What did the tourists do? They fed the bears.

The press, especially the news channels, are like the tourists, they keep feeding the bear.

3. Imagine Trump having to deal with the questions the British Prime Minister gets...

You would actually see a head implode on live TV (god I would record THAT)!!!

4. A weak and cowardly bully.

The journalists in the room should have all started shouting their protests in unison, or else sat there stone silent and stared at him.

20. Yes, the reporters should lock arms and keep asking the hard questions.

5. There has to be a reaction

Not attending is one option and maybe not attending the daily Sanders briefings is a start. Maybe start there for a week.

I'd rather see the press start somewhere sticking together and asking the question that was just dodged or answered with a lie asked again saying "you didn't answer that question" or " that answer wasn't accurate".

I hate the way they move on from the question as if asking their next question which is only going to get another lie in response is more important than holding their feet to the fire. If trump or Sara wants to walk off in anger, that'd be fine with me.

Do you remember the press conference where the ambassador to the Netherlands was grilled? That's what I want to see.

8. I disagree. Walking out is self-censorship. They should all ask about nothing other than the

investigation until Acosta's credentials are restored.

13. The problem is if they all walk out

You'll leave fox news and conservative talk radio, maybe some evangelical networks with the only coverage of the president. He will be completely sanitized similar to state-run media.

16. Right, the press has a responsibility to report on him

They go to war zones too. That's even worse. It can be a tough job sometimes, but that's what they signed up for.

21. Yes they do and

people have to see what he's doing, crazy loon that he is. It has to be documented. Without it, he's got Twitter and he'd probably be fine with that.

Trump wanted a distraction and he was itching for a fight, having just lost in the midterms. So it happened.

9. I agree. It has been two years now. Why the fuck are they not working in concert where they

can? Granted they all are not going to do it...but the ones who will should band together.

Network Executives should be orchestrating this NOW.

15. Just a question

if you were in that room wouldn't you stick up for your fellow reporters, why does everyone let that fucking trump bully them around like that??? Remember when that reporter almost got Bush when he threw his shoe????

May be all that spray tanning is seeping into his bloodstream he looks like a cartoon character.
