Kennedy/Harris 2020. Here's why:

Now that we have won back the House, we need someone in 2020 that can go high when Trump goes low (no one can beat Trump at being a bully). Kennedy offers a clear contrast: youthful, wholesome, and good-hearted. He can go high when Trump goes low.

Sure — nominating a white, privileged male to represent the diverse Democratic Party may seem like a bad choice (that’s where Kamala Harris comes in). But the fact is, we desperately need star power and name recognition against Trump — two things Joe Kennedy possesses.

Simply put: Joe Kennedy has the “it” factor.

“Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig likes it.”

Trying to fight Trump on his own turf doesn’t work. It never will. That’s why we need someone who comes across as good natured and can go high when Trump goes low.

Remember: Kennedy’s charismatic, hopeful Democratic response to Trump’s State of the Union was very well-received.

Kennedy produces excitement and a clear, youthful contrast to Trump. Again: Kennedy has star-power, name recognition, and the “it” factor. All things we need against Trump.

Kamala Harris would be a great VP. She would make up for Kennedy’s shortcomings by capturing the heart of the Democratic Party: a female and minority driven party. Harris, as a trained lawyer, could also be an effective counter-puncher if needed.

Kennedy/Harris 2020 — a winning ticket!

Let’s go high when they go low!

PS: Joe Kennedy’s curly red hair could, dare I say, become more iconic than Trump’s!

4. We need name recognition and star-power against Trump.

Kennedy has the "it" factor.

Kennedy's hopeful Democratic response was highly received.

Kennedy's charisma can capture the youth vote.

Kennedy is a clear contrast to Trump both visually and substantially.

Again -- we need name recognition and star-power against Trump.

PS: The Clintons aren't a dynasty. Dynasty refers to blood inheritance. The Clintons built their power side-by-side dating back to their days at Yale Law. Hillary was the breadwinner when Bill ran for Governor. That's vastly different than a dynasty that is directly associated with blood inheritance. Neither Clinton was born into wealth or political connections. Both of the Clintons worked for all they achieved.

but I am telling you in the most plain language I can muster, they will NOT support someone with his record of espousing such backward mentality.

Your ticket is no more! It has ceased to be! It’s expired and gone to meet it’s maker! It’s a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed it to the perch it’d be pushing up the daisies! It’s metabolic processes are now 'istory! It’s off the twig! It’s kicked the bucket, it’s shuffled off it’s mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-TICKET!!

You do know that all the states will eventually legalize, and for good reason, right?

“I don't think marijuana should be legalized,” Kennedy flatly told Boston magazine in 2016.

2016?!!!! Holy fuck, this would have been disqualifying in 1986 from a “liberal Democrat.”

I think maybe he should spend a little time in prison to see first-hand the social carnage our ill-conceived and monstrous “War On Drugs” has been.

No, he will never be President as a Democrat.

Biden got 1% when he ran for President for a reason. He's a dork and puts his foot in his mouth. Besides -- he has some baggage with Anita Hill.

Fighting on Trump's level never works. Biden can't go lower than Trump goes. Trump will win the macho contest.

Kennedy can capture the youth vote and be charismatic and optimistic. A clear contrast to Trump, with his own set of name recognition and star-power.

Two extraordinary speakers. Harris would absolutely carve up Trump in any debate. He would completely lose his mind when a black woman ran circles around him. And she is tough as nails. Any shot he took at her, she'd return with interest. And she does contempt so well. So well. Highly useful in a debate against Trump.

And can you imagine how hard Beto would beat down Pence in a debate? OMG.

59. I don't want either Harris or Brown in the VP slot

both would be more valuable staying in the Senate.

But a Harris/O'Rourke ticket makes sense. Maybe even a Brown/O'Rourke. In fact, VP might be just the right move for Beto at this point.

76. I meant Harris as President and either Brown or O'Rourke as VP.

I think we'll see record turnout with Harris at the top of the ticket, and she's been my choice for a long time now.

I think calls for Beto to be our presidential candidate are rather ridiculous, and I've been against him being on the ticket at all. As impressed as I've been by him, especially his speech on anthem kneeling, the lack of federal government experience is a concern. After tonight, though, I'm open to the idea of him being VP.

81. Oh yes, wayyyyy too early. I do really like Kamala the best so far though.

Beto is intriguing. Time will tell. I have confidence we can put together a winning team!
