If Dems win should they focus on
1) legislative priorities at the cost of not investigating Trump
2)Trump/ Russia and kiss any cooperation on legislation goodbye

5. It's way past due to clean the Augean Stables
We were thwarted in our efforts in 1974 and 1992. Upon gaining power in 2009, we decided once again to look forward to the future, not backward to the past. And the American people thanked us by installing Ronald Reagan in 1981 and 1985, George H.W. Bush in 1989, George W. Bush in 2001 and again in 2005, and Donald Trump in 2017. Sea slugs like Roger Stone and Elliott Abrams continue to stink up the corridors of power, long after both men should have been thrown in prison.
This time around, we need to ignore the plaintive bleats of the Republicans and their media sycophants, and start rooting out the systemic corruption that survives year after year. It's not going to be fun. Young, idealistic newcomers will have to slog and grind through a distasteful exercise in exorcism, setting aside the hopes and dreams they had for their political careers. We've neglected this vital duty for far too long. It's time for criminals to go to jail. |

6. Why not both?
Investigating Clinton and Obama didn't take much of the republican's time. The same should be true for the democrats. Even legislation doesn't require the attention of the entire congress.
