Why I didn't like Obama's Joke today and why I won't be giving my opinion on what Obama says!

This post is inspire by this topic:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1014193725

I didn't like Obama making the dog on car joke! I thought it was Childish and below him in this election especially since he came up with a better jab than that with the Romneyhood!

Also as a Dog owner himself--Hello people Bo! I thought it was childish to go for this type of joke WHEN what that freakin joke is doing is laughing at a serious issue of animal abuse!

Romney is a freakin cruel animal owner! He placed his dog in a situation that could have killed the animal and should be a warning to how he would treat people in this country BUT IT HAS BECOME A FUCKIN PUNCH LINE!

I'm mad as hell when I have a friend who is terrified of loosing her cats because this poor girl almost died a year and a half ago than lost her job and has one cat who is ill and she can't afford to take it to the vet. She is thinking this cat has had the issue for a while but everyone was focusing on her health that no one really notice because the cat has been eating and playing with the other cats when he isn't hiding which he seems to enjoy doing. So when she manages to save up enough money to get the little guy help she's figures she's going to lose her babies because of animal abuse. She can feed them and has plenty of litter BUT due to limited funds and her medical bills she doesn't have enough to get the cat help. I wish I could help her and I would pay for the vet myself but I'm strapped at the moment as well so I really feel for her.

So yeah I'm a little critical about Obama's "Joke" today! I see the cartoons and hear those jokes and I cringe!

The dog on the car 30 years ago at this point is a safe source of humor, imo, considering the other things going on in our country.

3. Mocking some one is not the same as creating a "punchline"
Tue Aug 14, 2012, 05:15 PM
Aug 2012

They are different. And one of the best ways to deal with the evil things Republicans do (and not the only way) is to MOCK them.

You throw their evil actions in their face within a joke. Obama can not stand there and attack Romney on the merits of putting Dogs on a car roof.

We all know Romney did it, Romney says "the dog loved riding up there" ... and try to realize that we regularly see dogs that appear quite happy in the back of pick-up trucks, heads hanging out the side as if its a joy ride.

Romney is a cruel person, not so much for a trip with a dog tied to the roof, but because he took away the pensions and health care of people.

Mocking some one like Romney hits him at his core. He is an elite SOB who things he DESERVES to run the country. Mocking him, in his regular life would be unheard of, and if you did it, you'd suffer severe consequences.

By mocking Romney in this way, and in other ways, Obama is telling Romney ... "You're nothing, you don't scare me in the least, and I can make fun of you and the stupid things you have done in the past, at my will".

The line isn't supposed to be funny. Obama is trying to get inside Romney's head.

She needs to call all the shelters and cat rescue groups in your town until she finds someone that will look at this cat. Some one out there will probabaly offer her free or low cost treatment. Even if they take it away from her-why torture a poor animal by making it remain ill because you might miss it?

But here's my response:

Romney made fun of wind energy (and mocked any who advocate for clean energy) by joking about putting a windmill on the roof of the car. As such, Romney opened himself up to the jab. And that's what it was, a jab to remind people what a pathetic, psychopathic shitheel Romney is. Ask yourself whom you're really mad at, Obama for taking the jab or Romney for abusing the animal. On that you are not alone. This was aberrant behavior on the part of the PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE. The media has tried to make little of the bullying incident (which at an exclusive private NJ school that I know of would have led to expulsion), the pretending to be a cop (illegal in at least most states) and this action that well over half the country thinks is animal abuse. (Seriously think how 24/7 ANY of these incidents would have seen had Clinton, Gore, Kerry or Obama done any one them - it alone would have made them unfit per the media)

Not to mention look at the charges that Romney is making - that Obama is "angry" and "divisive". But what do people see, a smiling Obama calming making a joke about an outrageous, stupid Romney comment on wind power. Wind is providing energy - that it doesn't power cars is not an issue. Consider whether Romney would mock nuclear power in the same way. What the Seamus joke did was to insure that this gets repeated and to get under Romney's thin skin.

Romney has been whining that the Obama campaign has gone to levels lower than any previous campaign. This because they are asking what is in tax forms he - unlike recent candidates won't release and speaking of the negatives of Bain Capital? Bain Capital IS the largest part of his resume. Then think back to the millions he and allies spent to attack his Republican opponents and the dishonest ads that EDIT Obama's comments to distort them. This is a bully crying when someone hits back - with less dishonesty than Mitt used.

The person who is angry is Romney.
