Catholic Publication Deems President Obama More Pro-Life Than Mitt Romney

"President Obama has taken a lot of heat and hatred from Catholic Bishops as of late for his decision to expand women’s access to contraception, a move that members of the Catholic Church and the Republican Party claim is pro-abortion. Indeed, the Catholic hierarchy and conservative politicians such as Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and others seek to ban contraception and abortion services entirely based upon their twisted interpretation of the Bible.

So that makes Romney more pro-life than President Obama, right? Not so fast."

The response I got from my mother (who has entered the "as a Catholic I have to vote Republican because they are pro-life" zone) was basically an attack on the National Catholic Reporter, which is not to be trusted because it is progressive (which she equates with "not in obedience to Church teaching&quot and is not an official Church publication.

I live in Bishop Jenky's diocese. He's trying to bully us into voting Republican by calling us bad names (like Judas, which... is about the worst thing you can call a devout Catholic). I responded to this with a long tirade, basically saying exactly what this article said. That tirade got me kicked out of the youth group I'd been helping to lead. Hard time to be a Catholic/Democrat. Very lonely place. I'm happy to see a Catholic publication telling it like it is!

Mormons believe in many gods, and that the christian god was flesh, the emaculate conception never happened, and Jesus was just an ordinary man. Mormonism has totally redefined God, and in the process has invented a God that does not exist. The description of the LDS God according to their sources shows clearly that he is not the God of the Bible. The concept that God is or ever was a mortal man who progressed to godhood is totally alien to the Bible. It is almost inconceivable that the founders of Mormonism could go so far afield from the truth. Just research it yourself and you will find mormons running around a demon world.

And the Bible has plenty to say about these false phrofits you priest is ignoring?

Matthew 12:30
Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

2 John 1:10-11
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.

AS to Paul Ryan, he is an illegitimate child, a bastard, as the bible identifys him. I don't make the rules of heaven.

" A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. " (Deuteronomy 23:2)

Paul cannot be a Christian!!

There are times when I would like to give an author input before he goes into print, to fill in those details. He didn't mention that Romney is not a Christian, and Ryan cannot be a Christian ~ all according to that lil black bible of the Christian's god's Word. In fact, the book says anyone who votes for either of these two will be burning in hell. But if your Christian republican, that is just the bible talking, nothing serious, don't try offing yourself in the voters booth.

it matters not all that much that it was written in a progressive Catholic paper, the author/contributor/interviewee is a CANON LAWYER. Mail this to every Catholic you know. There are still some on the fence this election, and I think when it comes to social justice issues, a lot of them are more Liberal than they have ever been led to believe.
