Rumor: Colin Kaepernick may get signed by the Jaguars

The Islamic owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars commented before the start of last year's regular season that he would be open to signing Kaepernick if his starter faltered that year. Fast forward to this afternoon when the jaguars lost to the Houston Texans, the Jaguars benched their quarterback Blake Bortles for Case Keenum opening an interesting question mark for the next week. The Jaguars might be needing someone who runs well and doesn't throw interceptions. Kaepernick does both. In fact Kaepernick has the 2nd lowest interception rate in league history. So the question might be why not the Jaguars give Kaepernick a chance?

I say that they should try it out and sign him at least to be their backup. This would allow the team to give Bortles a 2nd chance while Kaepernick learns the system. This would also be a huge PR boost to the NFL and a huge rebuke to the sitting occupant of the Oval Office who famously called Kaepernick a "son of a bitch" at a rally in September of 2017.
