A woman co-worker, lifelong registered Republican, told me today she's voting straight D ticket.

Stories like this are going on all over. She HATES Traitor Don and was sickened by Kavanaugh. Also very disappointed in Collins. Last straw for this moderate R woman. Good stuff!

1. Only 50 million more to convince.

And millions of non-voters to motivate.

But every one is important.

2. Yes, but the non-voters need to motivate themselves too. Our candidates are out there working. If

that THING in the White House can't motivate them, what will?

9. I talk to people every day. Total strangers

I ask them (politely and sweetly), "Are you registered to vote? Please consider voting for the more mature party Ė the Democrats." I've never had a disappointing response.

27. The candidate I'm supporting for my state House district

has personally knocked on 20,000 doors and hopes to hit 10,000 more before the election. We're also filling out postcards asking registered Dems and 'lean Dems' who have reliably voted in the presidential elections but not in mid-terms to vote this year. We've seen nearly 2,000 more Democratic registrations in the county and a bunch more unaffiliated registrations.

People are gonna turn out.

5. Awesome!

Iíve convinced a couple of non voters to vote straight Democratic in early voting. They already hated Trump but didnít even know about the upcoming midterms. I mean, wtf, right?

13. Most people don't vote. I can't imagine not voting...but there you go.

It's like the old saying, "People get the government they deserve."

Apathy is what gave us Trump. Even with Russian hacking and interference, the Democrats would have won by a landslide, if a majority of left-leaning people had voted.

There are actually more people who self-identify as Democrats than Republicans. But Republicans are more reliable voters. Maybe not by a lot. But enough, it seems.

23. The unfortunate part is that I, also, get the government that they deserve.

How do we reach the nearly half of Americans that are not paying attention? I mean Trump doesn't get your attention, what will? How can anyone be apathetic in the face of Donald Trump?

8. IIRC, in the last election, Hillary lost those three states by 2 voters per precinct.

Get two more like her in her precinct and that's a flip.

22. Dear friends, let's rejoice in these small victories

I believe in the next 4 weeks we'll be hearing a lot more stories like this. But also we need to realize that some Repukes will quietly stay home and not vote on November 6th. They won't tell their friends, and maybe not even their spouses, but they are getting the message that the Republican Party is toxic and un-American. These people can see it and they don't know what to do about it. But they're deciding on their own that they don't want this to continue. It's already gone way too far.

I don't know if these outliers will actually switch parties, and maybe they won't even quit the GOP. But they are no longer supporting Trump and that's an important first step. We should encourage them to vote for Democrats, but we should realize that many can't or won't do that. So I suggest we can ask them to NOT VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS and it will still be a big help to us!

24. Back in 2004 we heard story after story just like this.

People who said they'd voted for W in 2000 were now declaring they'd vote for Kerry, absolutely. It looked as if Kerry would win, Bush would lose. But in the end that's not what happened. Bush won what passes for a decisive victory in this country.

None of those stories, as heartwarming as we want them to be, give me a lot of confidence that things are going to change much.

And where are you? Will her vote help turn any offices (Governor, Senate, Representative, state house and senate) from being held by a Republican to being held by a Democrat?

25. There is hope one vote at a time.

We have to cultivate any vote we think is possible. Once we get control we need to make sure we put controls in place that stop this from happening again.

26. A large number of people I know are

Doing the same thing and voting Democrat all the way down the ticket. They're tired of all the corruption , the lying, and how badly trump and the gop have treated little children and women, and his policies hurting the economy, and the environment.
