Now that Kavanaugh has been sworn in, I'm curious if anyone is feeling the way I do.
There were many articles on websites and many people saying that the Kavanaugh nomination was in big trouble and he would never be seated on the SC. Looking back now, I don’t think it was ever in jeopardy. I hate when we’re given political false hope. I just wanted it to be true and fell for it. Now p.o.’d and so disappointed. Not cynical enough maybe.

1. I never believed any of those articles.
Not a question in my mind he was going to be sworn in. Democrats didn't have enough votes to prevent it.

3. We got the same with trump.
There was no way he could possibly win.
But here we are. Sometimes groups of people make the collective decision to destroy their society. Maybe the U.S. is going through that. We're the one's yelling, "NO! DON'T!". If enough people listen, maybe it won't happen. Do republicans crave power so much that they will destroy the country to have it? We are not in a new place historically. But we're not learning from the past either. |

9. It's all so surreal, it's hard to believe the reality of what's going on. Ever since 2016.

4. I take political prognostications with a bit of salt.
Some with a whole sack. I think people get giddy about the way they see things going and like to hear themselves speak and seek their words. I just don't take it seriously. Polls are interesting, but they are a snap shot, and it really depends on how the questions were phrased.

5. Hey I was stupid enough
to give Jill Stein $25 for the fake recount effort. I always fall for the political false hope. YOu are not alone.

6. I'm just glad I am the age that I am
I am outraged that young girls and women may have to go through what I never had to go through. Roe passed when I was a sophomore in high school. Several of my friends got pregnant and were able to get a safe abortion at that time, though I know of one girl who got pregnant and gave the baby up for adoption.
I was also part of that period when it was legal to drink at 18, though I agree with the age being 21 now. We did a lot of dumb things when we were drinking at 18. My cousin is about 10 years younger than I am, and she got caught up in when the drinking age went back to 21, she was several months too young to drink though some of her good friends were old enough to drink at 18. I think part of the reason it went down to 18 was because of the draft which really didn't affect any of my friends either. |

7. I am feeling sick, scared, repulsed, frightened,
angry, upset, concerned, worried, mad, and assaulted. May I add the same as any other woman I have spoken to.

10. Yes, me too. I had a situation very similar to a Christine Blasey Ford's. The same scenario, except
there wasn’t a third person in the room. This whole thing with Kavanaugh starts, and I relive the attempted rape every day now.

12. My mother remembers the laughter also and her
PTSD has been flaring up and even though I did not hear laughing and I have long been able to be free from PTSD from my abuse it is now making itself known to me now. My luck of freedom from PTSD has ended with the trump administration and particuarly wit the admission of crap n all.

15. I am not ready to accept help yet but will probably do it soon enough.
There are others who are worse off than me so I try not to feel sorry for myself. At this time I am using all of you here to talk it through. Everyone here are good therapy for this bull that is taking place.

That out of all the people Republicans had on the field, that is the guy they stick with.
