When he began talking about the judge drinking too much "one night" at a party... He was amazed that he was so willing to talk about "beer".
It is my understanding that the FBI has been reporting back to the Justice Dept every day. So Trump knows what the FBI is finding, if anything?
From Trump's words and weak defense of Kavanaugh, it appeared he may have already heard some unflattering news?
If so, Kavanaugh will not be permitted to go thru with the vote. He will be asked to withdraw. That would permit the Republicans to use his "withdrawal" as a campaign issue to get out the Republican votes.

If he does not withdraw, I think the Democrats may go after perjury. He has lied a few times.

(26,060 posts)It was all the talk about drinking and loving beer. I think everyone knows donnie's brother was a raging alcoholic and that's why he himself doesn't drink and finds it a character flaw in others. It certainly isn't his abuse of women.

(779 posts)My RW coworker, who wants Roe overturned, told me that if Kav is not confirmed, he's done voting for Republicans or giving them money. I actually feel like Republicans are electorally damned if they do, damned if they don't on this issue, and that's a good feeling.
