How can 1/3 of all woman support Trump?

Another way of asking this is, how can 1/3 of women support the portrayal of strength over the portrayal of truth?

The difference between conservative and progressive women is what they find attractive.

A conservative woman has been raised to live in a constant state of fear. Fear of the other, fear of the immigrant, fear of anyone who challenges their world view, fear of men outside her family. And what is their world view? That they need to be protected as the fairer class. A conservative woman looks at her father, her husband, her brother, as a layer of protection against the scary outside world. She is drawn to power because she has been lead to believe that she is weak. She dares not challenge the men in her life, and when they support Trump, she supports Trump, regardless of anything bad he has done, or how many people he incites, she knows that the men in her life will protect her, even if they themselves harm her, it is still better for her to be harmed by them, and protected from others. A conservative woman looks to Trump and see's a strong man, false as that image may be, that will protect the men that protect her.

Conservatives in general are ruled by a state of fear. They can not envision a better life, as they are in a constant state of worry that what little they do have will be taken from them.

A progressive woman on the other hand values truth. She wants to know of all the dangers around her so she can better prepare for danger. She does not hide behind the men in her life, she stands beside them, as they do with her. A progressive man of course still feels a duty to protect her, but would gladly fight along side her than hide her from danger. A progressive woman has no need for a leader who appears as a strong man, she wants a leader that is true and just. She does not have the same general fear that a conservative woman has, she has no need to look past indecency, as it is the indecency and lies she views as the true danger.

a fifty years of observing my own Siblings. All about the Family teachings and environment. Once they fall for the Religious Patriarchal bullcrap,it is over. Saw first hand this happening to my Siblings. What is even worse,it did not skip the next generation.

17. Trump's a right-wing authoritarian populist, religious-right approved

leader. Those groups have a great deal of overlap (God is the ultimate authoritarian) andwould pretty much account for that 1/3.

Let's be glad that his approval with women is no longer up over 40% and realize that he probably may not lose much more until he's shown to be a weakling, a loser, a dud, not the strong leader they want so much. W's support didn't drop into the teens until the very, very last weeks of his 8th year of his presidency.

The Republican leadership know that. They reportedly feel providing them a Trump "victory" by ramming Kavanaugh onto the court is extremely important to turnout in the midterms.

Religion and other myths are powerful influences on this lot. Good vs. evil. Us vs. them. Religion is the blueprint that lies on top of all of this mess.

They care more about religion, guns, opposing abortion, nationalism/jingoism, and/or avoiding taxes than they do about everything else.
