Evangelicals may say--god chose David, a sexual predator, and he has chosen Kav

Just like they say-- so T is divorced, has mistresses, is indeed a sinner. But god chose Cyrus , from a pagan nation, to bring Israel back to him. And T is the new Cyrus bringing the US back to god. And god has chosen Kav to help him. Ie abortion and homosexuality are keeping the US from god, and T and Kav will eliminate them and bring US back in god's favor.

That's the mindset of today's Evangelicals.

2. It's all BS!!!

Has more to do with giving them access to power and very little to do with their "Christianity", something that many of them have no concept of!!!

Evangelicals are nothing but the opposite side of the coin that ISIL is on!!!

I've reached the point where I want them all tested for their "faith"!!!

They can either drink poison or have themselves nailed to a tree and then have the tree set on fire!!!

If their "faith" is as strong as they claim, then they have nothing to fear, do they???

3. Good should give secular leadership ability to some of his

devoted, faithful followers -- if there are any.

4. Great how they can justify every crime and sin no matter what it is. I can't do that. I guess

you have to believe in the Bible to be able to do that.

5. God did it and God did not do it

Evangelicals did not say about the last of the Presidents of the USA, "Barack Obama, is a man chosen of God"

I wait for biblical consistency
There was only one Jesus and only one teaching

I am perplexed as to why there are so many misunderstandings
Why at least two types of Christians?
God's support is affirmed in both progressive and regressive churches (places of teaching).

6. Maybe I'm getting too old for this bullshit,

but I agree with the poster upthread. Let the Evangelicals test their faith in ways that don't affect the rest of us. That's fine. Let them test their faith by tying themselves to a boulder and tossing the boulder overboard into the ocean. I don't care and my opinion makes no difference, God will save them. Or not. Just stay the hell away from politics.
