He will gladly use religion to prop himself up and keep others down and get ahead in life as far as he can. He obviously is not scared of going to hell.

Robert Hanssen - FBI agent who was convicted of spying for the Soviet Union and Russia.[14] His treason has been described as "possibly the worst intelligence disaster in US history." A supernumerary, he reportedly left Opus Dei after his arrest.

Also, Alito and Clarence Thomas are rumored to be members. Thomas has now changed his religious affiliation.

Louis Freeh is also thought to be a member of Opus Dei.

He was taught by them in high school. To be a Jesuit you have to join the order and become a priest.

Jeduits are priests. Opus Dei are lay people. Not sure if priests are. At this point he could very well be right wing enough for Opus Dei but I thought he was mainstream right wing

...and I can see how they could have gotten him to groom him.

But they require some serious dive into religious rigor. And I don't know if he has that in him.

Trouble is I read an article about this what feels like a decade ago, so I cannot go further. The info is out there. The problem we have at this moment in history is that the SCOTUS is heavily weighted with very conservative Roman Catholics.

“Leonard Leo was a visionary,” said Tom Carter, who served as Leo’s media relations director when he was chairman of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), in an exclusive interview with The Daily Beast. “He figured out twenty years ago that conservatives had lost the culture war. Abortion, gay rights, contraception—conservatives didn’t have a chance if public opinion prevailed. So they needed to stack the courts.”

Amazingly, said Carter, Leo has succeeded in this mission with few people taking notice.

“The Christian right has been written about a lot, but hardly anyone talks about the Catholic right,” Carter said. “Four Supreme Court justices—they’re more successful than anybody: the NRA, the Israel lobby, Big Pharma, no one else has had that kind of impact.”

This isn't even mainstream Catholicism - these people oppose Pope Francis. A lot of conservative Catholics are so dumb they don't even know about this.

I grew up Catholic and knew a few people like this. They're awful. It's a reason I'm so triggered lately. How is supporting a rapist in any way "pro-Life"?? Fuck these people. I knew Kavanaugh was a brainwashed Creepy Catholic the minute he used their language - referring to contraception as "abortion-inducing drugs".

And Kavanaugh has the NERVE to complain about millions of dollars spent by "left wing groups". BULLSHIT.
